For best results and to sustain healthy plants in a Countryside Flower Box Planter, follow these guidelines:

• For outdoor use, invert the container and remove the rubber stopper before planting. Store the stopper in a safe place to use at the end of the growing season. This will allow water to properly drain from the planter.
• To further enhance soil aeration, add a soil amendment such as perlite, small stones, or clay pieces to the bottom and up to one-third of the container.
• When deciding what to grow, refer to the planting instructions for the specific plant species and follow the recommended spacing between plants to allow for proper growth.
• Position the flower box in an area that will receive the recommended amount of sunlight for the chosen plants.
• Fill the container with potting mix, leaving approximately 1 inch from the top.
• Water the plants regularly, especially during the mid-to-late summer and high-temperature months.
• Although the Countryside Flower Box Planter is frost-proof and can withstand the winter, to promote longevity, it is recommended to move the plants and containers indoors. This can be done by either inserting the rubber stopper on the bottom of the planter and growing the plants indoors, or by emptying the flower box of any residual water or dirt, cleaning it with warm soapy water, and storing it in a dry area.
